The "Anne of Green Gables" reboot will continue in 2019.

Netflix announced today that Anne with an E has been renewed for a third season. The Canadian-based production, which aired its sophomore run on the streaming service this summer, has also been picked up for Season 3 by The CBC up north.
Adapted from the classic 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables, Anne with an E follows a young orphan girl who has spent an abusive childhood in orphanages. When she is accidentally sent to live with an aging brother and sister in Prince Edward Island, the 13-year-old's unique spirit and wondrous imagination have a transforming impact on their lives and the lives of the residents in the small town where they live.
Look for Season 3 of Anne with an E in 2019.

the thing the other Anne films and series didn't have was Gilbert !I liked it because i discovered a lot of hidden matters in this series :like the love between Marilla and Gilbert's father,or Gilbert feeling's about Anne actually even in books i tried to read fast to reach Gilber and Anne's scenes ,It feels like this series even corrects the missing parts of the book.It was a new aspect and i liked it.

I hate period pieces I think there is far too much of this crap and reality on TV

It is worth your time if you love period pieces for sure. Just started it and it's very good.

I've only watched the first episode, been meaning to watch the others at some point.
But I have to say this show is kind of a tearjerker. Anne wears her heart on her sleeve and can go from excitement to despair in just seconds. The scene where it dawned on her that she was going to be sent back to the orphanage and collapsed on the ground just took my breath away.

This is good news, this show is different and clever and I'm surprised it is still on, but so very happy for sure. The young lady who plays Anne is absolutely perfect in the role (Amybeth McNulty).
