No Season 3 for the summer thriller.
November 20, 2018
It is being reported that CBS has cancelled Salvation after two seasons. The sad news comes two months after the conclusion of its sophomore run. The move does not come as a big surprise, as the summer drama's ratings in Season 2 were off quite a bit from Season 1.
The series follows the events following the discovery of an enormous asteroid that is only six months away from colliding with Earth. An MIT grad student teams up with a tech billionaire to try to save humanity from the potentially-catastrophic event.

It was the right time to end it. I was this close to rooting for the asteroid.

Dumb, dumb show. Suspending disbelief did not help. Yet I never missed an episode. Not sure which was dumber, Zoo or Salvation. Now I'll miss them both.

Too bad. It was finally going to be interesting with the cliffhanger

Stories like this do okay for a movie. But it doesn't work so much when you have to stretch it out as a series.

I am just sorry they ended on such a cliffhanger. Would have loved to see what happens next.

Would like to see how it ends. Seems these networks are anti -aliens.

An asteroid could destroy us , but it far more likely all the pollution will knock many of us out. They needed more action imo.

I'm not sorry to see it go. Too much emphasis on personal relationships and a wholly unrealistic premise.

Dang, I really enjoyed this show. I did not like Darius as President but when it went back to him in his tech role I thought it would start getting as good as season 1. Such a shame.
