The Amazon drama will return in 2019.
December 11, 2018
Amazon announced today that Goliath has been picked up for a third season. The legal drama, which comes from David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro, has aired two well-received seasons on the Internet giant's streaming service since its premiere in 2016.
The series has been a solid addition to Amazon's growing stable of originals. Not only has it garnered its share of acclaim from both audiences and critics, but star Billy Bob Thornton took home a Golden Globe Award last year for his leading role.
Goliath stars Thornton as Billy McBride, a washed up lawyer frequenting more bars than courtrooms. After agreeing to look into a wrongful death lawsuit against the biggest client of the powerful firm he helped create, Billy and his motley crew uncover a deadly conspiracy that finds them in a life-or-death trial with the odds stacked against them.
Season 3, which is expected in 2019, is adding some new cast members for its upcoming story line. Dennis Quaid, Amy Brenneman, and Beau Bridges are a few familiar names that fans can look forward to seeing when the show returns. Current showrunner Lawrence Trilling, who is its third overall, will continue to helm the series going forward.

I hope it's better than season 2. I couldn't even get through the first couple of episodes. Season 1 was near perfect.

Season one was a classic for sure. Season two was pretty good and it made sense to me completely. Season three is going to be at least pretty good I hope or another classic series.

Season 1 was terrific. Season 2 was godawful and most of it made no sense. We'll see about #3
