The Bill Hader dramedy will continue in 2020.

HBO announced today that Barry has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes just two episodes into the dramedy's sophomore run, which once again has been garnering the kind of critical acclaim that helped it pick up a multitude of award wins and nominations last year.
Combining a mix of dark comedy and drama, Barry stars Bill Hader - who also co-created the series - as a depressed, low-rent hitman from the Midwest who takes a job in Los Angeles to execute a hit on an aspiring actor. But after following his mark into acting classes, he winds up finding an accepting community within a group of LA theater scene hopefuls. This change in scenery inspires him to start a new life as an actor, but it won't be easy to just walk away from his criminal past.
