The new action drama will be back for Season 2.
April 11, 2019
Amazon announced today that Hanna has been picked up for a second season on its Prime Video platform. The good news comes less than two weeks after the action drama's 8-episode freshman release.
So far the show has been garnering generally positive reviews from critics, while the streaming giant has said it has received a tremendous response from subscribers and is pleased with its performance.
Based on the 2011 film of the same name, the series follows an extraordinary teenage girl named Hanna, who was raised in isolation in a Polish forest by her ex-CIA operative father. On a mission to uncover the truth about who she really is, Hanna must evade a relentless off-book CIA agent who is pursuing her at all costs.
On a side note, fans of AMC's The Killing should recognize a couple of familiar faces, as Hanna reunites the drama's two leads Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman.
Look for Season 2 of Hanna in 2020.

Finished season 2 - even better than season 1!
Here's hoping for season #3!
Music in this series is special and surprising, BTW. Make sure you notice it ;-)

Loved the movie and season-1. Can't wait for season-2. I hope they keep doing the right thing and not fill it up with PC and SJW stuff (which would end it for me). Two of the trainees might be having second thoughts-- it might be a future interesting twist in the plot. I wonder what happens when they don't get their "meds" for too long... hmmmm... Anyway, plenty of material for the writers to expound on.

I couldn't get past the pilot episode. It took way too long to go anywhere.

It is aa good as the movie, only we get more characterization because it is a series.

Fan of the 2011 movie and enjoyed this first season. Guessing they'll spend next season fleeing the CIA or trying to free the other assassin trainees (a couple of dissenters). Hope Mireille Enos (Marissa) returns--she could be their mentor.
