Netflix announced today that On My Block will be returning for a third season. The good news comes exactly one month following the coming-of-age dramedy's sophomore release, which continued to draw high praise from both critics and viewers.
Created by Lauren Iungerich, who also gave us MTV's now-concluded Awkward, On My Block follows four streetwise teens beginning high school in a tough South Central Los Angeles neighborhood. As they gear up for this next chapter of their lives, these lifelong friends need to have to have each others' backs as they face adversities such as the constant threat of gang violence.
The series has been lauded for its solid acting performances and storylines that deal with real and timely issues affecting today's inner-city youth. Look for Season 3 in the spring of 2020.

I hope that Ashley Rickards gets a new series.
Utterly disappointing NETFLIX.
