No Season 2 for the mid-season spy dramedy.
May 12, 2019
Word is out that Whiskey Cavalier has been cancelled by ABC after just one season. It wasn't long after the news broke that the show's cast took to social media to express their sadness that Season 2 would not be in the cards.
The spy dramedy premiered in February with a high-profile campaign centered around its big-name stars Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan. While its debut episode drew a decent audience, the show under-performed in the weeks that followed. The show has two episodes left to be aired, with the series finale set for Wednesday, May 22.
Whiskey Cavalier follows tough but tender FBI agent Will Chase, who gets assigned to work with edgy CIA operative Francesca "Frankie" Trowbridge. Together they lead an inter-agency team of spies tackling high-stakes missions, while navigating ups and downs in their personal lives.

Gee. I hope ABC can come up with a new show about a cop/detective/legal duo, with a man and a woman (probably caucasian), where one of them is a plucky smart alec and the other is a by-the-book straight ass, and there's some subtle sexual tension between them. I mean what a ground-breaking original idea it was...... Do better networks. This recycled crap is hack work you've been using for more than 40 years now.

This is total BS. Loved this show. Laugh cry, become engaged with the characters. ABC blows it again. Soon I will give up on ABC altogether. Netflix is cheaper than cable... and has their own programing.... just think about that.

ABC - Already Been Cancelled, particularly midseason shows. I don't think any I have watched have made it past 1 season.

Ugh!!! I really like this show. It took a few eps to establish the characters and that’s when I got into it! I need to just stay away from ABC shows.

I am with most, another fun show cancelled without a chance but those "most exciting" episodes/shows Bachelor/Bachelorette are still on air. Ridiculous!! Where do I sign a petition? LOL

While I stopped watching it because it seemed too goofy for me (I didn’t watch it long enough to dislike it), people are bringing up an excellent point. Compared to all the reality crap being profligated, ABC shouldn’t cancel it for that alone.

That is too bad !! This was a fun, quirky show with a delightful cast !! No more reality shows !! ABC must have morons running the show !!

Sorry to see this show go! I really liked it and enjoyed the humor. I agree with Lauren--get rid of the idiotic Bachelor and Bachelorette (we all know they're fake) and bring back the good, real shows!

Absolutely brutal TV show, couldn't make it through the first episode. People, there is a reason this was a mid season premiere. They should have saved it for a summer show and then maybe it would have stuck, but the production was too expensive for that.
Lauren, go back to TWD, where you belong. At least get killed off properly and then exit the show.

Sorry to hear this got cancelled.. I really like the show .. it was a good ensemble show -- the show wasn't just about two stars - all the characters added a reason to watch the show
