AMC announced at Comic-Con this weekend that NOS4A2 has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes ahead of next week's freshman finale, which will air with back-to-back new episodes.
The supernatural horror series premiered in June for a summer run that has garnered decent ratings for the cable network. Reviews have been somewhat mixed, though do lean towards the positive overall.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Joe Hill, NOS4A2 follows Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children before depositing what's left of them into a twisted, icy village of his imagination called Christmasland, where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. But his whole world is suddenly threatened when a young New England woman discovers she has a dangerous supernatural ability - and realizes she is the only one with the power to stop him.
Look for Season 2 of NOS4A2 in 2020.
