The comedy will be back for Season 2.
July 24, 2019
HBO announced this evening that Los Espookys has been picked up for a second season. The Spanish-language comedy from Fred Armisen premiered last month and just finished up its six-episode, critically-acclaimed freshman run last Friday.
The half-hour series follows a kind and noble man who is an aficionado of all things horror. He lives in a dreamworld version of modern-day Mexico City and has an eclectic group of friends, collectively known as "Los Espookys", and together they run a peculiar business providing spooks to those in need.
Look for Season 2 of Los Espookys in 2020.

I've always believed that people who don't like subtitles were poor readers. Come on folks, I know a lot of you have family trees with no branches but you have to do better.

You do get that it's exactly this type of racism and xenophobia that caused the last shootings we've had. It's time for you all to evolve or go extinct.

Netflix has many shows on it that are not in English. MANY, I have watched some of them. NOT this one though. But if it has subtitles who cares?. I agree that people who move here should learn English and if I move to mexico , I should learn Spanish but that is STILL irrelevant to showing a Spanish language show on tv.

B.. 31 states say English IS the official language. While it may not be a federal law.. it IS on the books for the majority of states.
To be clear.. I'm not in anyway "against" this show.. even in Spanish. I just don't know why HBO is airing it on their primary channel rather than an their latin channel. That's all.

Can’t be any worse than “Things we do in the night” on FX and plenty of English to satisfy even Buster

Buster - there is no official national language in the US.

It's nto *entirely* in Spanish.. but the episode or two I happen to mistakenly turn to.. was HEAVILY subtitled.. both English AND Spanish subtitles.
I understand there are many Spanish speakers in teh US.. but well.. isn't English still the national language? HBO has a specific Latino channel. Why put this on the primary channel.. the Latino channel is also free with the subscription.

Shows a wierd one, Decent humour but will not be everyones taste as its got witty dialouge but being in spanish it lacks the same punch as if it was in english for me tbh.
Worth watching for its strangeness alone but not something i would recomend whole heatedly.

I haven't seen the show, but it sounds like it could be good. Is it really in Spanish, though?

This is airing in the wrong country.
