Renaldo is a kind and noble man who is an aficionado of all things horror. He lives in a dreamworld version of modern-day Mexico City and has an eclectic group of friends including the tough but calm Ursula, her sister Tati, the dark and mysterious Andres, and Renaldo's reliable uncle Tico.

Together, the group is known as "Los Espookys", and they run a peculiar business providing spooks to those in need.
