No back order for the new legal drama.
October 18, 2019
It looks like it's case closed for Bluff City Law. Word is out that NBC is wrapping production on the new drama after its initial 10-episode run, opting not to proceed with a back order for any additional episodes.
The series has had a tough go since its premiere in late September. Airing Monday nights at 10:00pm, it has struggled to find a sizeable audience, trailing its time slot competition for the past two weeks. Critical reception has overall been mixed at best.
Back in August the network had ordered six additional scripts for the show ahead of its premiere, but its early struggles have led NBC execs to rethink their long-term plans for the series. While no final decisions have been publicly, it appears that the series has been cancelled.
Bluff City Law follows Sydney Strait, a brilliant Memphis lawyer who left her father's famous firm due to their tumultuous relationship. But after years of barely speaking to each other, Sydney is thrust back into the family fold after her mother suddenly dies. When her father then asks Sydney to rejoin his firm, she puts aside her lingering resentment and distrust so that she can work at the firm she knows can affect real change.
The show's final episode is scheduled to air on November 25.

I love all the the show didn't have a chance comments. You don't need multiple shows to know if you like a show, You need 1 maybe two. If you need more than that you really didn't like the show to begin with and your just trying to keep watching for some reason.
If you liked it and it got cancelled, that means more people didn't like it.

I actually liked this show. I’m not going to bother watching the final episodes knowing it’s cancelled. No more new NBC shows for me.

It was kind of boring. I’ve watched every episode as it aired.

I watched the first episode and I knew the days were numbered. The next few episodes showed some promise but not enough audience to let this show live.

@Nudnikoftime How Dare you make a television show cancellation about Politics, you are very misinformed. FBI has had been around for awhile with no real agenda nor does it have any political background to it’s storylines and I doubt its going to be cancelled anytime soon lol. All Rise is way to new for anyone to make any kind of judgement unless you have a crystal ball it only has had 3 episodes to say anything about it. People need to get a life and stop making everything about politics it’s tv get over yourself.

Okay this is one episode before "A chance" was given. 5 is the official number for a chance and last weeks ep was only #4. Well don't think it was gonna get any better ratings wise but still at least make it look like you "gave it a chance"

I wanted to like this but it was just too slow and dull. I like most of the actors but they just weren't given an interesting enough platform to show their talents. I'm currently recording about 40 shows a week. I won't miss this one and don't mind when mediocre ones bite the dust.

Nudnik of time...I know.My brother who likes almost any scripted show says "I just ignore the one-sidedness ". Well we don't agree and it causes "issues" where I feel forced to watch because that's what we did for so long together.Lets just say he isn't amused by my sarcastic commentary or when I trash talk actors.Big No no.He gets frustrated so I got reel back some since it's pointless in the long run.So hard forME with no one here like-minded.Gotta post my feelings randomly on the web..not comfortable talking to other family members...clueless.Don't have it in me to explain.Bye random Internet strangers.
