ABC announced today that Press Your Luck has been picked up for a second season. The game show revival premiered this summer as part of the network's 'Fun & Games' lineup, which has been a strong performer for the past few years.
This modern take on the 1980s game of strategy, wits, and high stakes pits three contestants against each other answering questions in order to earn spins on the Big Board. Along the way they'll have to avoid the devilish WHAMMY for a chance at big money and prizes. The winning contestant moves on to the All-New Bonus Round to face the WHAMMY in a final battle for the chance to win it all.
Companion game shows Celebrity Family Feud, Match Game, The $100,000 Pyramid, Card Sharks, and To Tell the Truth were also renewed today, keeping ABC's entire game show lineup in tact for next year.

I just tuned into this for the first time. Elizabeth Banks is awesome. The contestants annoyed me beyond belief. I agree with Corbus.

I loved the original version and I enjoyed this almost as much I'm really glad to hear that they will be doing another season

Yes! I love this revival! The only things missing are Whammy's girlfriend Tammy Whamette and his dog Fang.

I agree with Corbus. My specific issue is the final round, which seems to last forever. Keep the three contestants out there for an additional round of questions. Perhaps that would make the hour seem less repetitive.

Interesting.. I tried it but its too long.. an hour of listening to that obnoxious beeping of the game was just too much --- why they made this an hour long is a mystery.
