January 2, 2020
The first renewal of the new decade has arrived, as Netflix announced today that Raising Dion has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes three months after the superhero drama's premiere.
Since its October release, the series has garnered praise from both critics and audiences. The show also made the streaming service's Top 10 list of its most-popular titles of 2019, including being named as its #1 kids & family series.
Based on the 2015 comic book and short film of the same name, Raising Dion follows widowed mother Nicole Reese, who is struggling to raise her only child, Dion. But her young boy unknowingly possesses emerging powers that are beyond comprehension, leading Nicole to investigate the mystery surrounding her son's newfound gifts while keeping them under wraps.

Very good show, glad it's coming back. The show had a very interesting story line despite the main character's (Dion) acting. I will say that it could be the one show that wouldn't suffer from a recast. I'm recommending the show to others I know, and warning them to look past Dion's acting and watch the story unfold and the rest of the acting surrounding him.

Decent series. Mom is super hot... the kid.. well, can't really act that well, but I'm sure he'll improve. He's not horrible, but he's no prodigy either. Storyline is interesting. I'll catch season 2. :)
