Fox announced today that Mental Samurai has been picked up for a second season. And fans won't have to wait long for its return, as the network also confirmed that the competition series will premiere its sophomore run in April.

Hosted by Rob Lowe, the show gives contestants from all walks of life a chance to correctly answer questions using speed and precision. Sitting in a moving capsule that rotates 360 degrees, each hopeful will have their mental acumen tested in categories of knowledge, memory, numbers, and sequencing.

Season 2 of Mental Samurai premieres on April 22 on Fox.
