It was announced today that Stargirl has been picked up for a second season on The CW. The good news comes seven episodes into the superhero drama's freshman run, which is slated conclude in early August.
There will be a slight network change for Season 2, though. While in its current season new episodes debut on the DC Universe streaming service before airing on The CW the following day, for Season 2 the series will be exclusive to The CW.

After discovering a powerful cosmic staff, Courtney becomes Stargirl and goes on to inspire a group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past

Characters are complex and their motivations are not simply good or simply evil. There's the sense that any of them could die at any moment or that the series could change directions in a blink of an eye.
I’ve been a fan of what I’ve seen so far.
I know what your point is, just don't know if I'd make it that way. Realistically the bad shows will kill themselves off. Batgirl was a horrible idea and that appears to be dying. We'll see how it goes with the new Batgirl actor but I don't think the show was getting much traction to begin with. The stories are lacking. And the Arrow and The Canaries IMHO is going to be DOA. This should have never been greenlit and I don't think this will have a long shelf life but it is the CW we're talking about.
But Stargirl, I mean it's just their teen version. It's what CW does with all their shows that are successful. They make one for teens and Stargirl is it. It's a bit too teeny for me, but it's ok. I think the super hero days are going to be numbered for the CW anyway when it's all said and done.
It does have wacky sense of humor.
