Netflix announced today that Sweet Magnolias has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes two months after the romantic drama released its 10-episode freshman run, which received a generally positive reception from viewers and critics.

Based on the novels by Sherryl Woods, the series follows three longtime best friends from the small town of Serenity in South Carolina. Known as the Sweet Magnolias, the women have each others' backs as they work to balance their careers, relationships, and family matters.

Look for Season 2 of Sweet Magnolias in 2022.
