The sports comedy will return for Season 2.
August 19, 2020
Apple announced today that Ted Lasso has been picked up for a second season. Coming just five days after its premiere, the quick renewal is no surprise, as the sports comedy has gotten off to a strong start on Apple TV+.
Since releasing its first three episodes on August 14, the half-hour series has been garnering plenty of praise from both audiences and critics. It also ranked as the streaming service's most popular show during its debut weekend in numerous markets including the US, Canada, and the UK.
Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as a small-town college football coach from Kansas who moves to England after being hired to manage a struggling professional soccer team in London - even though he has no experience with the sport. Not only will the job be tough, but Ted will also have to deal with cynical players and doubtful fans in his new town.
Apple has ordered 10 episodes for Season 2 of Ted Lasso, which will return next year. For now, new Season 1 episodes are being released every Friday.

Just finished watching the first seasons. Very good show, really enjoyed it and glad there will be a second season. If you like Major League or Brockmire you will like this too. If you thought Brockmire was too crude, this takes it down a few notches.

First 3 were decent. Lots of room for humor.. reminds me of the story line from the film "Major League".
