The sports comedy scores an early pickup ahead of its sophomore run.
October 28, 2020
Apple announced today that Ted Lasso has been picked up for a third season. The renewal is an early one, as Season 2 of the sports comedy has yet to set a premiere date.
The sports comedy premiered on Apple TV+ in August and immediately garnered plenty of praise from both audiences and critics. After becoming the streaming service's most popular show during its debut weekend, it was quickly renewed for a second season. And the momentum has since continued, with the show ranking as Apple's #1 comedy in 50 countries.
Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as a small-town college football coach from Kansas who moves to England after being hired to manage a struggling professional soccer team in London - even though he has no experience with the sport. Not only will the job be tough, but Ted will also have to deal with cynical players and doubtful fans in his new town.

Yay!!! This is one of the best shows anywhere. It's sweet and amusing with characters that have an actual story arc.If you haven't seen it, it's worth spending the $5 for a month subscription to Apple TV+ to binge watch it.

Probably one of the best shows of 2020 if not the best so far.
