The improv comedy will return to Quibi in 2021.
September 3, 2020
Quibi announced today that Reno 911! has been picked up for an eighth season - its second on the mobile streaming service. The good news comes four months after the improv comedy made its return TV. It had been over 10 years since the show was cancelled by its original network, Comedy Central.
Shot in a mockumentary-style, Reno 911!'s cast of comic actors portray the police officers that you would normally see on shows such as COPS. The show places much emphasis on improvisation, using only a broad outline with a minimal script.
Look for Season 8 of Reno 911! in 2021.

I am more surprised to learn that Quibi will be back in 2021.

So has anybody seen the new Reno 911 and does it compare with 911 of yore? Do they wear faceshields?
