Showtime announced today that Black Monday has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes three months after the conclusion of the comedy's sophomore run, which garnered a better critical reception compared to its debut outing.

The half-hour series is named after Monday, October 19, 1987, which was the date of the worst stock market crash in Wall Street's history. The show follows a group of outsiders who went up against the blue-blood, old boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world's largest financial system.

Another 10 episodes of Black Monday have been ordered for Season 3. Production is slated to begin in early 2021, with a premiere expected later in the year.
