The 80s-set comedy will return for Season 2.
April 29, 2019
Showtime announced today that Black Monday has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes a month after the conclusion of the comedy's freshman run, which ended up with decidedly mixed reviews.
The half-hour series is named after Monday, October 19, 1987, which was the date of the worst stock market crash in Wall Street's history. The show follows a group of outsiders who went up against the blue-blood, old boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world's largest financial system.
Production on Season 2 of Black Monday is slated to begin later this year for an expected return in early 2020.

It was an okay show... dragged a bit in a couple episodes but no show's perfect. It was far more "dramedy" than "comedy" though. Kind of thought it was over though given the premise of "Black Monday". I mean... yeah.. that happened at the end. So what's season 2 then? The housing bubble? Bank bailouts? How wWall Street is jsut as crooked and screwing the rest of the country today?
