The serial killer drama will likely not return.

It appears that Mindhunter has reached the end of the road at Netflix. This likely won't come as a surprise to many, as there has been mounting evidence over the past months that Season 2 of the drama would be its last.
It has been over a year since the show released its sophomore run, and during that time the main stars have been released from their contracts. The streaming service would only comment that the series was on indefinite hold while executive producer David Fincher worked on other projects, but now Fincher himself is casting doubt on it ever returning.
In an interview with Vulture, Fincher stated that Mindhunter was likely not going to see a third season. Noting that it was an expensive show to produce, he implied that the viewership it garners could not justify the cost of continuing with the show. When asked for comment, a Netflix spokesperson didn't completely shut the door on a return, offering that "maybe in five years" we could see another installment. But realistically if that were to occur, it would be considered a reboot at that point.
Mindhunter is based on the true crime book "Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit". The series stars Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany as FBI criminal profilers who embark on an ominous investigative odyssey using specialized profiling techniques to pursue notorious serial killers by trying to understand their twisted minds.
I only watched the first two episodes but I halted and willing to wait for 3 seasons to be made cause I had a feeling they will cancel it. and what do you know? they actually did!!! stop with nonsense cancellation from left and right
The past year it appears Netflix is slanted and only wants to appeal to a certain 'base'.
With a family of multi-generations in our hone, we vote on things.
Just yesterday, I asked my family, after showing them what is coming in November, when are we cancelled this d@mn streaming network?
Good news - I cancelled it today. Wish more people would do the same.
