The late-night talk show will sign off in 2021.
November 17, 2020
It is being reported that Conan will be ending its run on TBS after 10 seasons. The move walks back the talk show's last pickup in 2017, which was a four-year order that would have seen it on the air through 2022. But with it being the year 2020, renewals no longer mean as much as they used to.
Hosted by Conan O'Brien, the titular talk show began in 2010, when the comedian moved to TBS after leaving his brief stint hosting The Tonight Show on NBC after a dispute with the network. The series started out in the typical hour-long format, but was scaled back to a half-hour in 2019 so O'Brien could make more time for his podcast and his Conan without Borders specials where he would travel to countries around the world.
The end of Conan means that O'Brien will not be hosting a nightly talk show for the first time in 28 years. He won't be going away completely though, as he is tapped to helm an upcoming weekly variety series on HBO Max as well as continue with his international specials.
For now, though, Conan will remain on the air through June 2021.

Why is Conan getting cancelled turning into a political argument?
By the way, to most of you, there are other news sources besides CNN. If you really care about yourself or this country, seek out all of the facts, not just spoon fed propaganda.

Elvira lasted 36 years as a late nighter (even if not always nightly) and she was actually funny. Johnny was also a valuable accessory to the dark. The others are crazy rabid blood suckers.

What an accomplishment, 28 years of hosting a late night talk show. Carson was 30 years, Letterman was 33 years. Carson with 1 show, Letterman with 2 shows, Conan with 3 shows.

Just honest, you need to stop thinking and believing that politicians are going to keep you safe. Most of these politicians don't give a damn about anyone but themselves. You need to start taking responsibility for you own life and your own safety. Depending on politicians will only keep you anxious, afraid, disillusioned and eventually angry. There has been enough of that the past four years! As far as Conan goes, its about time. These talk shows have become for the most part political forums and not entertainment. There hasn't been a real talk show since Jay Leno, Johnny Carson and the early years of David Letterman.

Just Honest if they couldn't get a wall built why would you think they could protect us from anything. We all know they aren't even trying. They care more about staying in power than America. Why else fight a fairly lost election.

Just Honest... what hole do you live in? Conservatives aren't supposed to keep us safe from the virus, neither is Trump. The CDC called the shots. They failed... assuming you believe that... even though they didn't. The media failed. The numbers you hear on TV mean nothing. Stop listening to the number of "infected" and start demanding the number of actually "sick". Millions of ppl are "infected" with TB, they aren't spreading it. Get your head out of the clouds. Go riddance Conan.

Just another failure of the conservatives trying to make America great. If they couldn't keep us safe from the virus why do we think they could keep our shows safe. So glad we legally voted in the largest numbers ever to remove the tryant.

CONAF + a new HBO Variety show + More Conan without borders and i'm pretty sure he will continue doing interviews ala conan at home. honestly he doesn't need a talk show. he got sick and tired of that outdated format 2 years ago.
