The reimagined comedy will return for Season 2.
January 19, 2021
Peacock announced today that Saved by the Bell has been picked up for a second season. Coming less than two months after its premiere, the good news was seen as inevitable, as the comedy is currently the top original series on the streaming service.
A reimagining of the beloved 1990s sitcom, the half-hour series follows a new group of students at Bayside High, which recently integrated some new students after California governor Zack Morris closed a bunch of underfunded high schools. This influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids a much-needed reality check.
Peacock has ordered another 10 episodes of Saved by the Bell for Season 2, matching the length of its freshman run. Look for a return later this year.

Watched the original 90s version, I was sad to hear the actor who played screech died in 2021 of cancer. But this version is ok at best in comparison imo.

The show started off slow and I was going to turn it off but after the 4th episode everything clicked and got alot better. Hope for more of the old cast in the next season

This was really bad at the beginning, but so was the original. By the end of the first episode I was chuckling. By the end of the season I was having actually very good time.
