The Canadian drama will not return as originally planned.

Canadian drama Trickster will not be moving forward with a second season. Original broadcaster CBC announced the cancellation today, which is a result of the controversy around co-creator Michelle Latimer's Indigenous heritage.
The series, which is currently airing its freshman run on The CW, was slated to return for at least one more season. Those plans changed when, last month, Latimer, who had become one of Canada's most-prominent Indigenous filmmakers, could not verify her claims of having ties to an Algonquin community.
Based on the best-selling novel "Son of a Trickster" by Eden Robinson, the series follows an Indigenous teenager struggling to keep his dysfunctional family afloat. But when he starts seeing strange things like doppelgangers, talking ravens, and skin monsters, his already chaotic life is turned upside down.
The series finale of Trickster airs on The CW on February 16.
Thanks IMSC for keeping up with all these programs and changes!!! I have no idea how you do it.
