'1000-lb Sisters' Renewed For Season 3

The reality series will continue in 2022.

It is being reported that TLC has picked up 1000-lb Sisters for a third season. The good news comes one week following the conclusion of the reality series' sophomore run.

The show been garnering a healthy number of viewers as of late, ranking #1 in its time slot in key women's demographics, with an overall stronger performance compared to Season 1.

1000-lb Sisters follows Amy and Tammy Slaton, two sisters from Kentucky who weigh a combined 1,000 pounds. Together, they are attempting to lose enough weight to qualify for a life-altering bariatric surgery and pursue their dreams of a healthier lifestyle.

If the show continues on the same release cadence, Season 3 should premiere in early 2022.

I don’t watch but are the sisters actually making an effort at losing weight? Or do they stay that big so they can be on TV and keep getting renewed? I just don’t like these shows that basically encourage an unhealthy lifestyle so they can get paid to be on TV. Like 16 and Pregnant.... wouldn’t you think having a show like that on might encourage other girls to get pregnant at 16 so they could be on the show?
