CMT announced today that Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team has been picked up for a 16th season. The good news comes five months after the reality series concluded Season 15 - and fans won't have long to wait for its return, which is less than three months away.
On the air since 2006, the long-running series has had an impressive run on the cable network. It currently ranks as CMT's most-popular original show, with recent seasons pulling in record-breaking ratings that have been some of the highest in franchise history.
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team follows the hopefuls who audition for a spot in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. The director and head choreographer oversee the intense audition process, carefully selecting which of them will make the team and don the star-spangled blue and white uniform.
