The dramedy will return for Season 2.
August 4, 2021
Apple TV+ announced today that Physical has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes two days before the dramedy wraps its 10-episode freshman run, which ultimately garnered mixed reviews from critics.
The half-hour series stars Rose Byrne as Sheila Rubin, a seemingly dutiful, but quietly-tortured housewife in 1980s San Diego who is supporting her controversial husband's bid for state assembly. Behind the scenes, she is battling her own personal demons relating to her self-image - but finds release when she discovers the world of aerobics, turning her newfound passion into her road to empowerment.
Look for Season 2 of Physical in 2022.

I couldn't watch more than a couple of episodes. I really like Rose Byrne, but this series was a total miss. The main character is completely unsympathetic.
The very first scene of the first episode shows how the character will turn out, and she appeared to be very selfish and vain. Why should I waste my time on that character story arc?

It was okay.. kinda wrapped up in the middle of nowhere. I think it's more nostalgia than actual plan.... I mean if it were not renewed... it wouldn't be missed.

well that song lives on , as do the far away early 80's , with this series. Not a bad show imo.
