It is being reported that Netflix has picked up The American Barbecue Showdown for Season 2. The news comes nearly a year after the BBQ competition series released its eight-episode freshman run.

The show gathers eight of the country's best backyard pitmasters and smokers, and has them face off in various challenges for the title of American Barbecue Champion. Lyric Lewis and Rutledge Wood share the hosting duties, with barbecue masters Melissa Cookston and Kevin Bludso serving as the judges.

No premiere date has been set for Season 2 of The American Barbecue Showdown, but a return later this year seems likely.
