September 20, 2021
It is being reported by Deadline that Netflix has cancelled Hit & Run after just one season. The sad news arrives just over a month after the thriller wrapped its freshman run. The move is a bit of a surprise, as the first season ended on a significant cliffhanger.
The series follows a happily married man whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit and run accident in Tel Aviv. Confused and filled with grief, he searches for the truth behind his wife's death. But his investigation leads him into a dangerous web of secrets and disturbing truths about his beloved wife.

Moves like this (cancelling with a cliffhanger) is a part of what discourages people from watching new shows and instead waiting for them to be established. New viewership goes down, more cancellations follow. It happened to cable, it'll happen to streaming. Keep canceling new stuff without any form of resolution and good luck getting the audience to commit their time to future new stuff.
