The book-based drama will return for Season 2.
September 28, 2021
Disney+ announced today that The Mysterious Benedict Society has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes the month after the drama wrapped its eight-episode freshman run, which was generally well-received by critics.
Based on the young adult book series by Trenton Lee Stewart, the series follows four orphans who each possess a unique skill. Because of their collective ability to see the truth, they are summoned to a boarding school by its eccentric benefactor who believes they can help stop a sinister plot that could have global consequences.
Look for Season 2 of The Mysterious Benedict Society in 2022.

I mean you are totally welcome to your opinion on the bucket but that is faithful to the childrens book this is adapted from, so while a bit weird, its just part of the original story

meh.. Lost interest halfway through Season1.. the tried and true Disney tropes become apparent.. kids stereotyped to no end and ALWAYS dressed the same. Man, that hat Kate wears must STINK. And what's with the bucket? She's never heard of a purse or satchel or bag??? No a big, clunky, metal bucket.. suuuuure.
