Word is out that Disney+ has cancelled Diary of a Future President after two seasons. Creator Ilana Peña posted the sad news on her Twitter page with a heartfelt note thanking the cast, crew, and fans.

The half-hour show premiered in early 2020 as the third original scripted series on the streaming service and the first truly original Disney IP on the platform that wasn't based on an existing franchise. It becomes the third series cancelled by Disney+ after 'The Right Stuff' and 'Turner & Hooch'.

Diary of a Future President follows a young Cuban-American girl who is not yet a teenager, but will someday become the President of the United States. For now, though, she is focused on navigating the ups and downs of her first year in middle school in Miami, Florida. Along the way, she documents the steps of her journey in her trusty diary.
