FX announced today that Atlanta will be coming to an end after its already-ordered fourth season. The news comes a month ahead of the comedy's Season 3 premiere, which is slated for March 24. Season 4 will air sometime this fall.
The series premiered in 2016 with a 10-episode run that went on to win numerous awards, including two Emmys and two Golden Globes, including one for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy. Season 2 returned in 2018 with 11 episodes under the title Atlanta: Robbin' Season, with many hailing it as even better than the first. Now four years later, the show is set for its final two seasons in 2022.
Created by comedian and musician Donald Glover, who also stars in the series, Atlanta follows two cash-strapped cousins trying to better their lives by making a living in the city's hip hop scene.

It's best to quit while you're ahead. I don't know how Glover maintained the quality during the first two seasons. It's so original, you have to wonder how many stories Glover has.
Well done!
Huh?

loooooooooooooooooooong breaks are problematic. It's somewhat understood over 2019-2020.. but still.. interest wains if the returning season isn't as good as the first season. With years in between, the returning season has to, once again, "grab" viewers.

This show is still a good one, even though the filming seems to be taking a while. WELCOME BACK, and meanwhile I watched Work In Progress on Showtime while THIS one was a "Work In Progress" go Glover!

One of the best written comedies in television history. Glad that it's coming back and sad to see it end.
