CBS announced today that The Bold and the Beautiful has been picked up for Seasons 36 and 37, which will see it on the air through at least 2024. The news comes three weeks before the daytime drama celebrates its 35th anniversary on March 23.
A reliable staple on the network since 1987, the long-running series has aired over 8,700 episodes and taken home 100 Daytime Emmy Awards.
"For 35 years, The Bold and the Beautiful has been a cornerstone of our #1 daytime lineup," senior VP of daytime programs, Margot Wain, said in a statement. "Congratulations to our talented cast and crew, as well as Bradley Bell, who have made this show a creative and ratings success, and thank you to B&B's dedicated fans, whose passion for these characters and stories is unrivaled."

I just started watching at a couple months ago so the storyline and characters have not worn on me yet. I am not burdened by the history.

I agree that the storylines goes in circles! I stopped watching years ago when the same 2 couples kept switching partners back and forth! Ridge, Brook, Taylor, Eric, Stephanie. Last week I had the TV on CBS and this was on and low and behold Ridge and Brooke are married, Brooke cheated and now Eric is going back to Taylor!! I sat there stunned that decades later this circle is still going on, only changes is the actors look much older.

The acting is great…but…the storyline has sucked for the past year. Bell’s writing staff needs new material instead of the rehashing of this recent garbage.

How dare you !!! This is a great show for what it is, a rambunctious good time with great characters, one should not watch it expecting Shakespeare, but the acting is top notch. Why do you think many present day superstars got their start in soaps! Maybe not terribly bold, but ugly? I question your standards!
