The courtroom series will return for Season 2.
March 8, 2022
IMDb TV announced today that Judy Justice has been renewed for a second season. The news comes a month ahead of the courtroom series' freshman finale, which will cap an impressive debut run that made the show the streamer's #1 original program with over 25 million viewing hours.
In Judy Justice, retired Judge of the Manhattan family Court, Judy Sheindlin, brings her signature blend of wit, wisdom, candor, and honesty as she presides over real cases and arbitrates binding decisions. Accompanying Sheindlin is her court clerk, court stenographer, and bailiff.
Look for Season 2 of Judy Justice later this year.

just love the nepotism of the new casting.... Silly producers.. Judy has always been interesting due to the moron defendants and plaintiffs and how Judy is kind of a B-word towards them much (well MOST) of the time. Softening Judy by bringing in her granddaughter isn't the right move. Show would be better is you told Sara to go build her own career.

This is IMDb Number One Streaming show, Ever! The reason she can start over at age 79 and choose her cast is because she brings in the viewers and the money. If she didn't do this the would've cancelled her ass. So what if she is old and chooses her own people when her show generates that many streaming hours you get what you want. BTW. Judge Judy did speak to Byrd. At the end of the show Byrd wanted to focus on his wife's brain surgery. Form what I read there working relationship ended amicable.

not as good as the original, but Judge Judy is getting older.

You either like her or you don't. The format is basically the same but the show is much easier to access via the internet now. And the nerve of her starting a new show and hiring the people she wants.

@Wiggum I thought I was the only one who felt that way! Her lack of loyalty, but including her granddaughter, speaks volumes.

The fact that they did not ask her longtime friend Byrd of 25+ years including from the days in family court to be part of the show. She never called him, to say they went in a different direction. I will not watch the show. I don't even hear any buzz about the show.
