No Season 3 for the game show revival.
April 3, 2022
Word is out that ABC has cancelled Card Sharks after two seasons. The game show revival premiered in 2019 as part of the network's 'Fun & Games' lineup, which typically draws respectable numbers during the summer months. Though after a solid freshman outing, the show's ratings fell significantly in Season 2.
An updated take on the classic 1970s game show, the series pits two players against each other in an elimination game to decide which of them advances to the grand prize winning deck. Ultimately, players can either go home with the cash they earned or continue betting in hopes of reaching the top for a chance to take home a life-changing grand prize.

I thought this show was pretty good until they copped out in Season 2 and did away with the "consecutive cards of the same rank counting as a loss" rule for the Money Cards round. Joel McHale was good, but I think Tom Bergeron might have been a better choice as host. Maybe this show will return as a special or in syndication.

Decent show. Joel was funny and the models were fun and sexy with personalities. Not the end of the world. It does make room for more crappy reality shows and dancing with the unknowns.
