It is being reported that CBS has cancelled United States of Al after two seasons. The news comes with two episodes left in the comedy's sophomore run, leaving its episode on May 19 to serve as its series finale.

The half-hour show premiered last year as a midseason replacement with a 13-episode order. It fared well enough in Season 1 to warrant a full second season of 22 episodes and a move to the fall schedule. Ratings were never overly impressive, however, as it was long considered on the bubble to get a third season.

United States of Al follows a Marine combat veteran struggling to readjust to civilian life in Ohio. He finds friendship with a man named Al, the interpreter who served with his unit in Afghanistan and has recently arrived in America to start a new life.
