The workplace comedy will return for Season 2.
July 11, 2022
Apple TV+ announced today that Loot has been picked up for a second season. The news comes two weeks into the comedy's freshman run, which has been garnering an overall favorable reception since its late June premiere.
The half-hour series stars 'SNL' alum Maya Rudolph as Molly Novak, a billionaire who has everything she could ever desire. But when her husband of 20 years betrays her, she publicly spirals and ends up in all the tabloids. Just as she is at her lowest point, Molly discovers that she has a charity foundation and embarks on a journey of giving back to others, which might just be what she needs to get back to herself.
Look for Season 2 of Loot in 2023.

Yes @Ser.... the "woke" shows DO intentionally win Emmys.. because the Emmy committee wants to appear "woke" as well. Emmys have NOTHING to do with the actual caliber of any TV show or actor or director or anything..... they are a political race for advertising dollars... just like the Oscars. It's ALL a marketing ploy people fall for.

Good, but not great show so far. Interested to see more.

Do "gotta be woke casting choices" usually win Emmy awards? Or is that because the awards panel needed to appease the righties?
I like the show...it's not the best, but it's funny and entertaining.

.. the transgender actor can't act... poor "gotta-be-woke" casting choice. If she can't do the job, she doesn't deserve the job.
The premise of this show is a good one. However, how the episodes themselves have unfolded up to this point has been rather lackluster.
There are a FEW moments of greatness... like saying goodbye to the house staff as she heads off to work for the first time.. as if it were an extended absence. But for the most part... it's not that funny.
