Dan Harmon's animated comedy gets an early pickup.
October 7, 2022
Fox announced today that its new animated series Krapopolis has been renewed for Season 2. The pickup is an early one, coming well ahead of the show's official premiere sometime in mid-2023. There will be a sneak peek before that, though, as the network has scheduled an early first look on November 27.
From creator Dan Harmon, the man behind shows such as 'Community' and 'Rick and Morty', Krapopolis is set in mythical Ancient Greece, where a dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and monsters is doing their best to run one of the world's first cities without killing each other.
"As you can imagine, anything Dan Harmon does is unflinchingly irreverent and filled with his signature, bold characters; and these early episodes of Krapopolis far surpass even our highest expectations," said Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment, FOX Entertainment. "While we continue to evolve FOX's animation brand, it's a true delight watching Dan and his team work their magic on Krapopolis. But it's an even bigger thrill to be so confident in this special project to be able to reward it with an early renewal."
