The Christmas comedy will return for a second season.
December 14, 2022
Disney+ announced today that The Santa Clauses has been renewed for Season 2. The good news coincides with the Christmas comedy's freshman finale, which released today on the streaming service.
"This franchise has had a lasting impact for so many families, truly becoming part of their annual holiday traditions," said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television. "Bringing it back as a series has been a true gift, and I'm grateful to our producing partners at 20th Television and, of course, Tim Allen and team, that we have yet another reason to celebrate this holiday season."
Acting as a continuation of the 'Santa Clause' film franchise, the TV series finds Scott Calvin about to turn 65 and starting to realize that he can't be Santa Claus forever. He's slowing down now, and has a family who could benefit from a life in the regular world. With a lot of elves, children, and families relying on him, Scott sets out to find his replacement while preparing his family for a life south of the pole.
Look for Season 2 of The Santa Clauses during the holiday season in 2023.
