No Season 2 for the workplace comedy.
December 16, 2022
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled Blockbuster after one season. The news comes six weeks after the workplace comedy released its 10-episode freshman run, which ultimately garnered lackluster reviews from critics and viewers. It also struggled to create a lot of buzz upon its release, failing to make it into the streamer's weekly Top 10 list.
The half-hour series follows film buff Timmy, who is the manager of the last Blockbuster Video store in America. Along with his second-in-command Eliza and the rest of his staff, Timmy does his best to keep the store relevant. The best way to do that is to remind their community that the human connection they provide is something you can't find with big corporations.

I admit, I watched for Melissa Fumero cause she was pretty good in B99 but after the first episode I just knew this wasnt gonna make it.
This mightve done better as a sort of stoner comedy with stoner types being the employees and like it being a store that corporate forgot about and then they hear theyre the last so they go on a mission to revive the video rental business or something. Kinda like how Jay n Silent Bob went on the mission to get Bluntman and Chronic shut down.
not gonna listen to the rest of the season of his whining about a girl the script won't ley him have till last episode of season. then hint. then cliffhanger.
