Mayans M.C.'s upcoming fifth season will be its last. Network boss John Landgraf made the announcement today at the TCA's winter press tour. A premiere date has yet to be confirmed, but the drama's final run should premiere sometime this spring or summer.
Taking place in the same universe as 'Sons of Anarchy', Mayans M.C. follows former golden boy Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter on the California/Mexico border. Having been released from prison, he is now looking to establish his new identity in his former stomping grounds.

This show was ridiculous from the start. SoA started out good but jumped the shark after a couple seasons. This show picked up right where SoA left off, as far as how stupid it got.

Hopefully Sons of Anarchy SAP (pronounced 'Es Ay Ah Pay') ends better than the original.

@The Punisher Your comment implies that this show attracts or is at least partially catered to an audience of some higher intelligence that doesn't bother themselves with cheap tv. They shot up a hospital and got away. They had what was akin to a full scale battle at the southern border. Can we be real here and admit that this show is just stupid fun? Just like reality tv. The people that watch and enjoy this show (myself included up until this most recent season) are the same people that watch any other show.
@Saint Is woke just a word to say when you don't know else to use? Does anyone know what woke even actually means? I fail to see anything "woke" about this show. Realistically, you're probably upset that this show is based around a race of people you don't like. Grow up.

Thanks for the info regarding Mayans MC ending after the next season. I was getting tired of the story-line and not even sure if I'll even watch the upcoming final season.
With the short 10 episodes/year schedule, I've already been seeing various actors appearing in other productions.

Surprised it made it this long. Of course this and soa were about 1% criminal gangs. The real ones are truly barabaric , slavers , killers. Drug dealers , so you get a somewhat cleaned up version for tv. Which like a mafia show is going to be entertaining but hollywoodwized , still violent though. I thought this was not terrible but not as good as soa.

I think the actors , storyline, & plot were a perfect spin-off to SOA , as much as I will miss this show after final season I definitely think 5 seasons is a great run. Plus they're bringing the SOA prequel (The First 9) to FX following Mayans finale so excited for the next biker adventure

Honestly a relief. I watched each season with the hopes that it would get better but it never really did it for me. Its decent but SOA was far superior (excluding season 7). I'm glad this isn't getting dragged out longer than it should
