Disney announced today that Phineas and Ferb is being revived with an order of 40 new episodes on Disney+, which should work out to two new seasons. The move is part of an overall deal with co-creator Dan Povenmire, who will oversee the production of the animated series along with other new projects.
The show premiered in 2007 and aired 129 episodes over four seasons, winning five Emmy Awards and becoming the most successful animated series for Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 in Disney Television Animation history.
Phineas and Ferb follows stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, who are on a mission to conquer boredom and make the best of their summer vacation. Their older sister Candace, though, has other ideas. She's always out to tattle on them to their parents but she's never able to prove what the boys have done. Phineas and Ferb are always accompanied by their pet platypus Perry, who lives a secret life as the suave Agent P, battling the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz to save the world.

d.c. universe anyone?
B&B episodes are hit and miss. Will the Phin and Herb iconography pass muster and entertain beyond the casual joke?
Including the minor characters like Major Major and Carl.
