No Season 2 for the fantasy drama.

It is being reported by Deadline that Vampire Academy has been cancelled by Peacock after just one season. The news comes three months after the fantasy drama ended its 10-episode freshman run. While critics generally enjoyed the show, it garnered more of a mixed reception from viewers.
Based on Richelle Mead's novel series of the same name, the series follows the friendship between two young women that transcends their strikingly different classes as they work to complete their education and enter vampire society in a world of privilege and glamour. One is a powerful Royal, the other a half-vampire Guardian trained to protect against the savage Strigoi who threaten to tear their society apart.

Great news! This show was pure woke garbage! They changed all the races of the characters and the source material.

The mythology in this world is just weird. I can't get into these kinds of vampires at all. Just go watch Interview With the Vampire series. It's way better.

They should have stayed true to the books. If you read them first and then watched this, it's a bit of a disappointment. I think I would have liked the show more had I not read them.

Books were fantastic. If the show had in any way followed the books, it could have been a success. Casting wasn't great either, and I'm not talking about race switching. I didn't really care about that. I did care that a character whose personality was largely formed by being a large Russian was played by a small Englishman without a Russian accent.

Every Vampire in the book was not gay, every vampire on this show was either a gay character or wanted to be a gay character. Enough with the excessive gay.

Sad they did a good job with the show from the books. I'll be finishing up 1 show and canceling my membership- this was why I paid for a subscription.
