No Season 3 for the Disney+ sports dramedy.
February 17, 2023
It is being reported that Disney+ has cancelled Big Shot after two seasons. The news comes four months after the sports dramedy released its 10-episode sophomore run. Both seasons were well-received by both critics and viewers.
John Stamos stars in the series as Marvyn Korn, a temperamental college basketball coach who, after being fired from his NCAA job, takes a teaching and coaching position at an elite all-girls private high school. He soon discovers that coaching these teenage girls requires a little more understanding than he was prepared for. In order to connect with his new players, Marvyn needs to grow into the person he's always wanted to be.

"Both seasons were well-received by both critics and viewers.”. Isn’t that what every show is striving to obtain. Ironically, I don’t even think it’s necessary to have both as long as it’s the latter (think that’s ratings). But, this was a winner (pun intended) considering the critics like it, too. So I don’t get it….I guess you could just come out with another reality show. I don’t think there are enough. Maybe there is something we are not seeing, but if not maybe another network might want a show that the critics like and has good ratings.

This is sad news, I thought this show was amazing. Nice, down to earth, relatable to teens.
