CBS Media Ventures has announced that Rachael Ray is coming to an end. The syndicated daytime talk show will stop production at the end of its current 17th season.
"In my more than 20 plus years in television I have had 17 wonderful seasons working in daytime television with Rachael. However I've made the decision that's it's time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career," said host Rachael Ray. "My passions have evolved from the talk show format production and syndication model to a platform unencumbered by the traditional rules of distribution. I am truly excited to be able to introduce and develop new and upcoming epicurean talent on all platforms. That is why I am looking forward to putting all my energies into my recently announced production arm, Free Food Studios. Thank you to all of our Rachael daytime show partners, crew and affiliates, and the wonderful years we all worked together."

She made cooking accessible to the masses, taught viewers simple solutions on how to improve their lives and coaxed great stories out of celebrity guests with her relatable down-to-earth demeanor," said Steve LoCascio, president of CBS Media Ventures. "We're proud to have produced such a successful show with Rachael and her team for so many years. We'll miss Rachael on the air every day, but we'll always be family."
Rachael Ray made its debut 2006 and quickly found ratings success in national syndication, finishing its first season as the top syndicated show. Over its 17 years, the show took home the Daytime Emmy for 'Outstanding Talk Show' three times.

I have to agree with others sentiments. Cancellation of this show is long overdue. Rachael just didn't look happy cooking food! The recipes became boring and simplified. It became especially evident when she was filming from her home that the show was tired.
Even when she went back to studio taping it appeared her heart just wasn't in it. She appeared unkempt with weird clothing choices. (Stylist?)
IDK....I loved early Rachael shows...I hope she gets to spend more time at her home in Italy and then finds something to do that REALLY excites her creative energy.

Don't know how that show stayed on the air so long. She doesn't even yell "BAM !!" and throw spices into whatever she's cooking.

Damm! Is all I can say, 17yrs and only 3 Emmys, should have wrapped up 10yrs ago. Also I wouldn't have even known it was her, her face at the 7 and 10 sec mark is like triple in size. Did her face get stung by Bees?

That is a considerable run. Very long indeed. Few shows other than soaps last more than seven seasons often far less.

Damn. It was a great drinking game to see how often she would interrupt the guest :-0 I enjoyed her cooking at home during the pandemic.
