The non-fiction series returns in June.
May 2, 2023
A&E announced today that 60 Days In has been picked up for an eighth season to air this summer. The renewal is no surprise, as the unscripted series continues to rank as cable TV's top crime and justice series among total viewers and adults 18-49.
The upcoming season will take place in North Carolina's Pitt County Detention Center, with seven participants going undercover on a mission to evoke change. After an inmate recently overdosed from drugs and with much of her command staff retiring, Sheriff Paula S. Dance is looking to make sure the new team and protocols they have in place are providing the proper groundwork to keep the jail a safe place for both inmates and staff. Once embedded in the facility, the participants quickly realize that the conditions are too much to bear, forcing Sheriff Dance to take drastic measures to save the program.
Season 8 of 60 Days In premieres on June 15.

I hope to be on the upcoming 60 Day In. As Marines, we SHOULD always finish the mission from start to end. I should have took Matt's slot in the Etowah County Jail season. But hopefully my time will come. It takes a special person to volunteer as an inmate to help improve the incarceration system.
