No Season 2 for the rookie drama.
May 12, 2023
Word is out that The Company You Keep has been cancelled by ABC after one season. The news comes less than a week after the drama ended its 10-episode freshman run. A mid-season entry, the show ultimately struggled to find viewers in its Sunday night time slot.
Based on the Korean Broadcasting System series 'My Fellow Citizens,' The Company You Keep follows a con man named Charlie and an undercover CIA officer named Emma who, after a night of passion, are left unknowingly on a collision course professionally. While Charlie ramps up the 'family business' so he can get out for good, Emma is closing in on the vengeful criminal who holds Charlie's family debts in hand - forcing them to reckon with the lies they've told so they can save themselves and their families from disastrous consequences.

I loved this show! It got better as the season went forward. They had a great cast and I think the audience would have grown as more people found it. I wish ABC would have given it a chance. Most of the time the networks show reruns of reality shows instead of original content. Classic shows would have never made it the way things are now.

Ugh, I liked this show. It was unique. I'm sick of the basic police and medical dramas.

This has to be one of the best new shows around. Who needs another reality or game show. This show had it all, suspense, drama, light hearted one liners, romance. Too bad ABC, you sure will lose a lot of viewers, maybe a wake up call will wise them up and keep it on another season.

This is stupid on a very high level. I went through ABC's prime-time lineup. It is very high on the amount of reality,& game shows! No wonder why the big networks are losing so many viewers. Fox is just as bad!

ABC has a history of doing this. 3 years in a row they did this to me with the most disappointing one being Deception. I'm just so happy Will Trent is getting a season 2. At least they wrapped this one up with only a minor cliffhanger.

What the heck! That was a great show. Then you leave all the crap reality shows on. That stinks!

As much as I am angry, I have a feeling it was probably also strike related like what happened during the mid-aughts writers strike

You cancel everything that's good. Probably replace with another game show or reality show. Not worth watching anything new anymore. I'm glad I'm behind on just about everything. It will give me something to watch.
