No Season 2 for the superhero drama.
June 12, 2023
Word is out that Gotham Knights has been cancelled by The CW after just one season. The news comes with two episodes remaining in the superhero drama's freshman run, meaning its June 27 episode will now serve as its series finale.
Showrunners James Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash posted a joint statement on Twitter, thanking fans for their support but stating that, despite their best efforts, a new home was not able to be found.
In the show, Batman is dead and Gotham City has been left without the Dark Knight to protect it. Bruce Wayne's adopted son, Turner Hayes, is framed for the Caped Crusader's murder, along with the children of some of Batman's enemies. With hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner relies on his best friend and Batman's sidekick for support. Before long, the Knights soon discover a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. The team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become the city's next generation of saviors.

Too bad. It started out a bit "meh" but then started to get better each episode. But, alas, just as I was starting to think that maybe there was hope... *Bam!* The exec's at CW pulled the rug out!

There's going to be a lot of SPN fans commenting on this. Unfortunately, the show was more worried about being woke then telling a good story. I'm not surprised by this at all.

The leadership at The CW that makes decisions on cancelling good shows to leave cheap junk on is officially cancelled.

I am so done with the CW again they canceled a real good show like awesome night and leave other crappy shows on there's so many more stories to tell on the show but watch it's going to be ending with a cliffhanger whoever on the CW makes decisions to cancel shows they should get their head examined

Once again a show I enjoy is cancelled. I just hope that it doesn't end on a cliffhanger.

Maybe if CW spent more time on shows we want to see rather than junk to show us how smart they are.

Unfortunate for those that liked the show. I didn't care for it. Watched the 1st few episodes but it didn't do much for me.
I did record them, maybe I'll take another look if there are enough positive comments.

That's OK. It wasn't as good as Gotham although the set design was obviously still done by the creative team that did that show. They are amazing. The story lacked excitement probably because Gotham was more compelling. I won't miss it but would have continued watching it if had been renewed.
