The order for a final season has been reversed.

It is being reported that Amazon's Prime Video has changed its mind about bringing back A League of Their Own for a shortened final second season. The news comes five months after the streaming service ordered a 4-episode run that was to serve as a conclusion to its story. Reports were that the decision was due to the ongoing writers and actors strikes, but co-creator and star Abbi Jacobson refuted that in an Instagram post.
Adapted from Penny Marshall's classic film of the same name, the show tells new stories of an entire generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball in the 1940s. This new ensemble of characters carve their own paths towards the field, both in the league and outside of it.

The TV show was a disappointment because it deviated from the elements that made the movie incredibly enjoyable. For example, my family loved the movie because it was engaging, adorable, and humorous. It had something for everyone, from those who casually enjoy sports to those who have never even heard of baseball. However, it was unclear who the target audience was for the TV series since there were very few baseball scenes.

nigel nigel nigel, your emotions are really getting carried away on a stretcher. Few care at all about what anyone does with yourself, where you put it, where you don't put it, what you put there. Not a wit. Being let alone when your graffiti is everywhere one looks is never going to happen. Marking all territory does not engender the love you desperately seek.

Right, showing everyday people living their everyday lives is really “pushing.” Get over it, this is how the world works, some people evolve. Or in Steve’s case, you don’t. I thank my lucky stars everyday my head isn’t as exhausted with hatred on how other people live their lives.

nigel is right. if you pay for enough streaming services, you can probably find enough of what you want. still, series inject the woke baggage on you when you least expect it - not- you almost always have to expect it. nigel is right about the mainstream. they're the pushers trying to mainline it into everyone.

lol gotta love the “go woke go broke” idiots. You know, the same people that use that term but at the same time complain about the fact that everything on tv is woke, including most tv shows that have yet to go broke. RuPaul’s renewed for a 16th season, that’s pretty woke and going strong.
This was just a shitty show, period. Thats why it got the axe. Sorry to disappoint.
